Inspectors and Service Techs

Inspectors and Service Techs

  • Looks at schedule on inspect point the day before
  • Ensure all tools and parts needed for the next day are prepared and ready
  • Use inspect point to indicate when they are on their way to an appointment and check in / check out . 
  • Make notes while at the job site performing inspections or work orders. Do not wait till the next day. 
  • Communicate daily with the Service Coordinator. 
  • Alert Service Coordinator when there are any scheduling problems
  • Only leave a job incomplete if the Service Coordinator and Customer have been communicated with. 
  • Include all deficiencies in inspection form or notes in inspect point. 
  • Alert management when you may be approaching overtime. 
  • Follow the route that is in Inspectpoint. If any changes to the route need to be made, alert the service coordinator immediately. 
  • Ensure safety of all cargo and tools by fastening and containing these items. 
  • Alert the Service Coordinator if the customer is a no show. Wait at the job site until the Service Coordinator says it is okay to leave. 

Service Coordinators

Service Coordinators

  • Looks at schedule on inspect point every morning and every afternoon
  • Confirm appointments via text, phone and email 
  • Ensure proposals are accepted before scheduling
  • Check to see if any proposals were accepted from previous days and schedule work orders or inspections for the Accepted proposals. 
  • Ensure all tools and parts needed for the next day are ordered and ready for the technicians. 
  • Check notes in inspectpoint after each job has been completed. 
  • Communicate daily with the Inspectors and Service Techs.  
  • Reschedule no show calls and other appointments
  • Create Proposals for deficiencies. 
  • Run "Card on file" after confirming the work has been completed. 
  • Submit inspection reports to Compliance Engine or other jurisdictions as needed only after payment is received. 
  • Alert management when you may be approaching overtime. 
  • Alert Collections when you cannot get payment from a customer for more than a week. Exception: unless it's a 30 day net customer. 
  • Use the pricing list provided - Only give discounts if management approves. 
  • Check with shop for inventory at the end of the week. 
  • Process phone call leads with - Set up in inspectpoint, proposal and acceptance of proposal then scheduling. 
  • At the end of the day, check the schedule for the next day and ensure we have the parts and supplies needed to serve our customers for that day. 
  • At the end of the day ensure no one is over scheduled. Check the route for efficiency. 


Estimators

Estimator Fire Alarm Construction

  •  All Fire Alarm construction Estimates are to be entered into Inspectpoint with the exception of Planhub or construct connect estimates. 
  • Proposals or Estimates are to include details such as parts, panels, wire and labor as well as permitting. 
  • Payment terms are to be clearly defined. 
  • Use templated exclusions that are in inspectpoint. 
  • Always exclude conduit. 
  • When bidding on Jobs that are more than an hour from Houston, check with management and the installation lead to ensure this will work. 
  • Attend meetings to explain the proposal to the potential client. 
  • Always try to make every customer a repeat customer. 

Estimator Fire Sprinkler Add & Relocate

  •  All Fire Sprinkler Add and Relocate Estimates are to be entered into Inspectpoint with the exception of Planhub or construct connect estimates. 
  • Proposals or Estimates are to include details such as parts, and labor as well as permitting. 
  • Payment terms are to be clearly defined. 
  • Use templated exclusions that are in inspectpoint. 
  • Always exclude Fire Alarm, Fire Extinguisher, Backflow and FireLine. 
  • When bidding on Jobs that are more than an hour from Houston, check with management and the installation lead to ensure this will work. 
  • Attend meetings to explain the proposal to the potential client. 
  • Always try to make every customer a repeat customer. 
  • Goal: to send out 60 Proposals per calendar month and win 10 jobs. 

Estimator Fire Sprinkler New Construction

  •  All Fire Sprinkler Construction Estimates are to be entered into Inspectpoint with the exception of Planhub or construct connect estimates. 
  • Proposals or Estimates are to include details such as parts, and labor as well as permitting. 
  • Payment terms are to be clearly defined. 
  • Use templated exclusions that are in inspectpoint. 
  • Always exclude Fire Alarm, Fire Extinguisher, Backflow and Fireline. 
  • When bidding on Jobs that are more than an hour from Houston, check with management and the installation lead to ensure this will work. 
  • Attend meetings to explain the proposal to the potential client. 
  • Always try to make every customer a repeat customer. 

RMEG and RMEI

RME-G

  • Site Walks for new construction jobs that have been sold. 
  • Design of Fire sprinkler systems after a job is sold. 
  • Submission of Fire Sprinkler designs for permitting. 
  • Communication with the customer, Fire Marshal and Fire Code review team. 
  • Update Customer weekly about progress of design and permitting. 
  • Order supplies such as pipe and sprinkler heads for fire sprinkler and Underground fire line jobs once permit is awarded. 
  • Communicate with coordinator when an invoice needs to be sent out for percentage of job completed. 
  • Attend Hydro and Final inspections. 
  • Communicate with Fire Sprinkler Field Manager. 



RME-I

  • Inspections of Fire Sprinkler Systems
  • Complete Inspection forms in Inspectpoint while on job site. 
  • Complete deficiency report while on job site. 
  • Communicate with Service Coordinator to create a proposal for any additional work. 
  • Be Honest about deficiencies. 
  • Charge for any site visit unless approved by management. 
  • Perform repairs and direct team to help with any repairs. 
  • Keep license current. 
  • Ensure all parts and tools needed for the day are on the truck before the day begins. 
  • Attend meetings with customers to describe deficiencies and solutions. 
  • Attend appointments on inspectpoint as they are listed. 
  • Alert Service Coordinator if the schedule needs to change. 
  • In the case of a no show, email , text and call the customer. Alert the service coordinator and stay on the job site until advised to leave. 
  • Use Standard pricing from the price sheet unless approved by management. 




FAL Fire Alarm Inspectors, Installers & Service Techs

Fire Alarm Inspector

  • Inspections of Fire Alarm Systems
  • Complete Inspection forms while on job site in Inspectpoint. 
  • Ensure there are 2 people on site when there are more than 6 devices. 
  • Complete deficiency report while on job site. 
  • Communicate with Service Coordinator to create a proposal for any additional work. 
  • Be Honest about deficiencies. 
  • Charge for any site visit unless approved by management. 
  • Perform repairs and direct team to help with any repairs. 
  • Keep license current. 
  • Ensure all parts and tools needed for the day are on the truck before the day begins. 
  • Attend meetings with customers to describe deficiencies and solutions. 
  • Attend appointments on inspectpoint as they are listed. 
  • Alert Service Coordinator if the schedule needs to change. 
  • In the case of a no show, email , text and call the customer. Alert the service coordinator and stay on the job site until advised to leave. 
  • Use Standard pricing from the price sheet unless approved by management. 




Fire Alarm Installer

  • Inspection of Fire alarm Systems
  • Printing of Approved Plans and Permitting. 
  • Ordering of parts. Forwarding the parts invoice to accounting.  
  • Communicate with customers and Fire alarm Coordinator during installation. 
  • Communicate any additional work to the customer and Fire Alarm coordinator. 
  • Be Honest about deficiencies. 
  • Communicate expected completion date. 
  • Post permit on wall at site. 
  • Attend final inspection. 
  • Focus on making the customer or GC a repeat customer. 
  • Always alert the fire alarm coordinator when more wire, backboxes, or any supplies are needed. 
  • Always check the warehouse for parts. 




Fire Extinguisher, Kitchen and Paint Booth Inspectors/Instal

Fire Extinguisher Inspector

  • Inspections of Fire Extinguishers 
  • Complete Inspection forms while on job site in Inspectpoint. 
  • Alert Service Coordinator when you are down to 200 tags.  
  • Complete deficiency report while on job site. 
  • Communicate with Service Coordinator to create a proposal for any additional work. 
  • Ensure all fire extinguishers on your vehicle are secure so they do not "pop off" 
  • Be Honest about deficiencies. 
  • Charge for any site visit unless approved by management. 
  • Perform repairs and work with the shop to help with repairs, recharges and 6 year services.  
  • Keep license current. 
  • Ensure all parts and tools needed for the day are on the truck before the day begins. 
  • Attend meetings with customers to describe deficiencies and solutions. 
  • Attend appointments on inspectpoint as they are listed. 
  • Alert Service Coordinator if the schedule needs to change. 
  • In the case of a no show, email , text and call the customer. Alert the service coordinator and stay on the job site until advised to leave. 
  • Use Standard pricing from the price sheet unless approved by management. 
  • Alert Management if you are going into overtime. 




Kitchen Suppression Inspector

  • Inspections of Kitchen fire Suppression Systems and Extinguishers 
  • Complete Inspection forms while on job site in Inspectpoint. 
  • Alert Service Coordinator when you are down to 200 inspection tags.  
  • Always tag the system honestly. Communicate with the customer verbally to allow them the chance to fix any issues on the spot. 
  • Complete deficiency report while on job site. 
  • Communicate with Service Coordinator to create a proposal for any additional work. 
  • Provide Service Coordinator a complete list of parts needed for any repairs so they may create the proposal and order the parts. 
  • Ensure all fire suppression and extinguishers on your vehicle are secure so they do not "pop off" 
  • Be Honest about deficiencies. 
  • Charge for any site visit unless approved by management. 
  • Perform repairs and work with the shop to help with repairs, recharges and 6 year services.  
  • Keep license current. 
  • Ensure all parts and tools needed for the day are on the truck before the day begins. 
  • Attend meetings with customers to describe deficiencies and solutions. 
  • Attend appointments on inspectpoint as they are listed. 
  • Alert Service Coordinator if the schedule needs to change. 
  • In the case of a no show, email , text and call the customer. Alert the service coordinator and stay on the job site until advised to leave.

Backflow Inspectors, Installers and Service Techs

Backflow Inspector

  • Inspections of Backflow Systems
  • Complete Inspection forms and upload into Inspectpoint within 48 hours. 
  • Ensure there are 2 people on site when the Backflow is underground.
  • Complete deficiency report while on job site. 
  • Communicate with Service Coordinator to create a proposal for any additional work. 
  • Be Honest about deficiencies. 
  • Charge for any site visit unless approved by management. 
  • Perform repairs and direct team to help with any repairs. 
  • Keep license current. 
  • Ensure all parts and tools needed for the day are on the truck before the day begins. 
  • Attend meetings with customers to describe deficiencies and solutions. 
  • Attend appointments on inspectpoint as they are listed. 
  • Alert Service Coordinator if the schedule needs to change.
